Thai Crumble Fried Chicken
A unique twist on traditional fried chicken, inspired by the flavors of Thailand. This dish combines crispy fried chicken with a crunchy mediterranean crumble topping and a tangy yogurt sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 pounds chicken breastscut into bite-sized pieces
- β1 cup flourall-purpose
- β2 eggsbeaten
- β1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- β1 cup mediterranean crumble toppingsee notes
- β1/2 cup yogurt saucesee notes
- β1/2 cup vegetable oilfor frying
Instructions

1. In a shallow dish, mix together flour, eggs, and a pinch of salt.

2. Dip each piece of chicken into the flour mixture, coating completely.

3. Place the coated chicken on a plate or tray.

4. In a large skillet or Dutch oven, heat 1/4 cup of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

5. Add 3-4 pieces of chicken to the skillet and fry until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.

6. Remove the fried chicken from the skillet and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

7. Repeat the frying process with the remaining chicken pieces.

8. To make the mediterranean crumble topping, mix together panko breadcrumbs, a pinch of salt, and a few grinds of black pepper.

9. Sprinkle the crumble topping over the fried chicken.

10. To make the yogurt sauce, mix together 1/2 cup of yogurt, 1 tablespoon of honey, and a pinch of salt.

11. Drizzle the yogurt sauce over the top of the fried chicken.
