Chicken Tagine with Aromatic Spices
A classic Moroccan stew made with marinated chicken, aromatic spices, and a rich amber sauce. This dish is a staple of Moroccan cuisine, perfect for a cold winter night.
Ingredients
- β1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs chicken
- β2 teaspoons aromatic spices (cumin, coriander, cinnamon)
- β2 tablespoons honey amberadjust to taste
- β1 teaspoon ground ginger egyptian
- β1 cup chicken broth taginehomemade or store-bought
- β2 tablespoons olive oil
- β1 medium onion, chopped onion
- β3 cloves, minced garlic
- β1/4 cup chopped fresh parsleyoptional

Heat oil in the bottom of a large clay tagine or Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add chicken and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.

Add aromatic spices, honey, ginger, and chicken broth. Stir to combine.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 20-25 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
