Canadian Gratin
A creamy, cheesy dish made with Canadian bacon and a crunchy topping.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Canadian baconthick-cut
- β1 cup, shredded gratin cheese
- β2 cloves aromaticminced
- β2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- β2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- β1 cup heavy cream
- β1/2 teaspoon salt
- β1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Cook Canadian bacon in a skillet over medium heat until browned.

In a separate saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.

Add flour and whisk to form a roux, cooking for 1-2 minutes.

Slowly pour in heavy cream, whisking continuously.

Bring mixture to a simmer and cook until thickened.

Stir in shredded cheese until melted.
