Egyptian Shrimp Pilaf
A flavorful and aromatic pilaf dish from Egypt, made with succulent shrimp and a medley of spices.
Ingredients

- β1 small onion, diced egyptian
- β1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined shrimp
- β1 cup uncooked white rice pilaf
- β1 teaspoon salt
- β1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- β1 teaspoon cumin
- β1 teaspoon coriander
- β2 tablespoons lemon juice

Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat.

Add the diced onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the cumin, coriander, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 1 minute.

Add the shrimp and cook until pink and just cooked through, about 2-3 minutes.

Add the rice to the saucepan and stir to coat with the spice mixture.

Add the lemon juice and stir to combine.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid has been absorbed.
