Jamaican Starch Bowl
A simple and flavorful dish that combines the taste of Jamaica with a side of pilaf. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients

- ●1 tbsp coconut oil
- ●2 cups starchpreferably a Caribbean variety
- ●1 cup pilaf
- ●1/4 cup chopped scallions
Instructions

Heat the coconut oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

Add the Jamaican seasoning blend and sauté for 1-2 minutes.

Add the starch and stir to combine. Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the starch is lightly toasted.

Add 2 cups of water to the saucepan and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the starch is tender.

While the starch is cooking, prepare the pilaf according to the package instructions.

To assemble the dish, divide the cooked starch between two bowls.
