Slovakian Bean Stew
A hearty, comforting stew made with Slovakian ingredients and beans.
Ingredients
- β1 cup dried white beanssoaked overnight
- β1 pound slovakian sausagecut into bite-sized pieces
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β1/4 cup stir-fry sauceoptional
- β2 tablespoons fryfor browning the sausage
Instructions

Brown the Slovakian sausage in a large pot over medium-high heat, then remove and set aside.

Add the chopped onion to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.

Add the soaked and drained white beans, stir-fry sauce (if using), and browned sausage back to the pot.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer, covered, for 30-40 minutes, or until the beans are tender.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh herbs (optional).
