Spanish Chicken Paella
A fusion of Spanish and German flavors with chicken, paella, and a hint of Spanish spices.
Ingredients
- β500g chicken breastcut into bite-sized pieces
- β250g spanish paella riceuncooked
- β250g buttery sausagecut into coins
- β2 tbsp olive oilfor cooking
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β1 tsp spanish smoked paprikasweet
- βto taste saltfor seasoning
Instructions

Heat the olive oil in a large paella pan or skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the chicken and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Add the buttery sausage to the pan and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pan and cook until the onion is translucent, about 3 minutes.

Add the uncooked paella rice to the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Add the chicken broth, smoked paprika, and salt to the pan. Stir to combine.

Return the cooked chicken to the pan and stir to combine.

Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low and cook, covered, for 20-25 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid has been absorbed.

Remove the pan from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
