Santiago Tarta
A classic Spanish dessert made with a buttery crust, a rich mascarpone filling, and a touch of wholesome Santiago ingredients.
Ingredients
- β1 sheet buttery pastry doughhomemade or store-bought
- β1 cup wholesome Santiago almondschopped
- β8 oz mascarpone cheesesoftened
- β1 cup sugargranulated
- β2 large eggsroom temperature
- β1 tsp vanilla extractpure
- β1/4 tsp tarta cinnamonground

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Roll out the buttery pastry dough and place it in a 9-inch tart pan.

In a large bowl, whisk together the mascarpone cheese, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and tarta cinnamon.

Pour the mascarpone mixture into the pastry-lined tart pan.

Sprinkle the wholesome Santiago almonds over the top of the mascarpone mixture.

Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.

Remove from the oven and let cool completely on a wire rack.

Serve chilled, garnished with additional almonds if desired.
