Pan-Seared Fish Fillet with Caramelized Fries
A classic French dish featuring a delicate fish fillet paired with sweet caramelized fries.
Ingredients
- β4 pieces Fish filletpreferably cod or salmon
- β1 bag Friesany variety
- β1 cup Vegetable oilfor frying
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Pepper
- β1 tsp Garlic powderoptional
- βchopped, for garnish Parsley
- βoptional Lemon wedges
- β2 tbsp Caramelized (onion) jam

Season the fish fillet with salt and pepper.

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add a small amount of vegetable oil.

Sear the fish fillet for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.

Meanwhile, heat vegetable oil in a separate pan to 350Β°F (175Β°C) for frying the fries.

Fry the fries in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per batch.

Drain the fries on paper towels and sprinkle with garlic powder.

Serve the fish fillet with caramelized fries and garnish with parsley and lemon wedges, if desired.
