Filipino Chicken Fried Rice
A simple and flavorful Filipino-inspired dish made with chicken, rice, and a hint of charred flavor. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- β1 lb, boneless and skinless chicken breast
- β2 cups cooked ricepreferably day-old rice
- β2 cloves charred garlic
- β1/4 cup fried shallots
- β2 tbsp soy sauce
- β1 tsp fish sauce
- β1 tsp sugar
- βto taste pepper
Instructions

Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the charred garlic and fried shallots and stir-fry until fragrant.

Add the chicken and cook until browned and cooked through.

Add the cooked rice and stir-fry until well combined with the chicken and vegetables.

Add the soy sauce, fish sauce, and sugar, and stir-fry until the rice is well coated.

Season with pepper to taste.

Transfer to a serving platter and garnish with additional fried shallots if desired.
