Japanese Lamb Skewers
Grilled lamb skewers with a charred flavor, inspired by Japanese cuisine.
Ingredients
- β1 pound lamb shoulder, cut into 1-inch cubespreferably day-old lamb
- β2 tablespoons soy saucefor marinating
- β1 tablespoon honeyfor glazing
- β1 teaspoon brown sugarfor flavor
- β1/4 cup green onions, choppedfor garnish
- β1 tablespoon sesame oilfor brushing
- β1 cup charred wood chipsfor grilling

1. In a large bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, and brown sugar.

2. Add the lamb cubes to the marinade and mix until coated.

3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

5. Thread the marinated lamb onto skewers.

6. Brush the lamb with sesame oil and season with salt and pepper.

7. Grill the lamb for 8-10 minutes per side, or until charred and cooked through.
