Classic British Bangers and Mash
A hearty British dish, featuring juicy sausages served atop a rich and creamy mashed potato.
Ingredients
- β4 bangers
- β2 pounds mash2-3 medium-sized potatoes
- β2 tablespoons chewybutter
- β1 teaspoon umamisoy sauce
- β1/4 cup beef filletgravy
- β1/4 cup beefgravy
- βto taste salt
- βto taste pepper

1. Peel the potatoes and chop them into 1-inch pieces.

2. Place the potatoes in a large pot and add enough cold water to cover them.

3. Bring the water to a boil over high heat.

4. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer the potatoes for 15-20 minutes, or until they're tender when pierced with a fork.

5. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.

6. Add the butter, salt, and pepper to the potatoes and mash them with a potato masher until they're smooth and creamy.

7. Cook the bangers in a large skillet over medium-high heat, browning them on all sides.

8. Remove the bangers from the skillet and set them aside.

9. Add the soy sauce to the skillet and stir to combine.

10. Return the bangers to the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
