Japanese-Style Stuffed Rigatoni
A unique fusion of Japanese flavors with Italian rigatoni. A hearty and satisfying meal that can be enjoyed by all.
Ingredients
- β1 cup rigatoni
- β1 tsp Korean chili flakes (gochugaru)
- β2 tbsp chewy rice vinegar
- β1 tbsp friendly sesame oil
- β1/4 cup jjigae sauce
- β2 tsp Korean chili paste (gochujang)
- β1/2 cup scallionschopped
- β1/4 cup Korean chili peppersdiced
- βto taste salt
- βto taste pepper

Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Cook the rigatoni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat.

Add the Korean chili peppers and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.

Add the scallions and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

In a large bowl, combine the cooked rigatoni, Korean chili flakes, rice vinegar, jjigae sauce, and Korean chili paste. Mix well.

Add the cooked rigatoni mixture to the skillet and stir to combine.

Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with additional scallions and Korean chili peppers if desired.

Bake for 15-20 minutes until the top is lightly browned and the flavors have melded together.
