Croatian Citrus Crumble
A sweet and tangy dessert with a crunchy topping, perfect for spring.
Ingredients
- β1 sheet Croatian pastry doughstore-bought or homemade
- β2 tbsp Citrus zest
- β1/2 cup Crumbly sugarmix of granulated and brown sugar
- β1 cup Crumble toppingmix of all-purpose flour, cold butter, and crumbly sugar
- β1 Egg
- β1/4 cup Heavy cream
- β2 tbsp Lemon juice
- β1 tsp Orange blossom wateroptional
- β1 tsp Vanilla extract
- β4-6 Fresh citrus slicesorange, lemon, and/or lime

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Roll out the Croatian pastry dough to a thickness of about 1/8 inch.

Transfer the dough to a 9x9 inch baking dish.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the citrus zest, crumbly sugar, and crumble topping.

Add the egg, heavy cream, lemon juice, orange blossom water, and vanilla extract to the bowl.

Mix until the topping is crumbly and evenly moistened.

Spread the topping evenly over the pastry dough.
