Tunisian Lamb Flatbread
Flaky flatbread topped with a flavorful lamb and crunchy vegetable mixture.
Ingredients
- ●1 pound Lamb, ground90% lean
- ●4 sheets Flatbread, homemade or store-boughtpreferably day-old
- ●1/4 cup Olive oiluse for brushing flatbread
- ●1 large Onions, thinly slicedred or yellow work well
- ●2 medium Carrots, peeled and gratedadd some crunch
- ●1 teaspoon Cumin, groundor to taste
- ●1/2 teaspoon Paprika, smokedoptional
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

Cook flatbread according to package instructions or bake at 400°F for 5-7 minutes.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.

Add sliced onions and cook until caramelized, stirring occasionally.

Add grated carrots and cook until tender.

Add ground lamb and cook, breaking up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through.

Stir in cumin, paprika, and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Brush cooked flatbread with olive oil and top with lamb mixture.

Return to oven for 2-3 minutes to melt cheese and crisp flatbread.
