Pork and Dumplings German Comfort Food
Hearty pork and dumplings dish originating from Germany, perfect for a cold winter evening. This recipe serves 4-6 people and is relatively easy to prepare.

- β1 pound, cut into 1-inch cubes Pork shoulderYou can also use pork belly for a fattier version.
- β1 cup All-purpose flourFor dusting the pork cubes.
- β6 slices BaconFor added smokiness.
- β1 large, chopped OnionFor added flavor.
- β1 tablespoon Caraway seedsTraditional German spice.
- βhomemade or store-bought Dumpling doughFollow package instructions for preparation.

In a large Dutch oven, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside.

Add the pork cubes to the Dutch oven and cook until browned on all sides. Remove the pork and set aside with the bacon.
