Australian Cream Pie
A sweet and creamy pie filled with a custard-like filling and topped with a charred meringue. Perfect for dessert.
Ingredients
- β1 piece Australian pie crusthomemade or store-bought
- β1 cup Granulated sugar
- β3 pieces Large eggs
- β1 cup Heavy cream
- β1 tsp Vanilla extract
- β2 tbsp Custard powder
- β1 cup Meringue toppingwhipped eggs and sugar

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Roll out the pie crust and place in a 9-inch pie dish.

In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and custard powder.

Pour the filling into the pie crust.

Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes.

Top with the meringue topping and return to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the meringue is golden brown.
