Ethiopian Tibs Fritters
Crispy, spicy fritters filled with Ethiopian-style stir-fried beef. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 cup flour
- β1 pound beef (sirloin or ribeye)
- β2 tablespoons tibs spice blend
- β1 medium onion
- β3 cloves garlic
- β2 eggs
- β1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- β1/4 cup oil

In a large bowl, whisk together 1 cup of flour and 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour. Add eggs and mix until a dough forms.

Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat.

Using a cookie scoop, drop small balls of dough into the hot oil.

Fry fritters for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown, flipping halfway through.

In a separate pan, heat 2 tablespoons of tibs spice blend over medium heat.

Add sliced onion and minced garlic to the pan and cook until softened.

Add beef to the pan and cook until browned, breaking into small pieces as it cooks.

In a large bowl, combine cooked fritters and beef mixture. Toss to combine.
