Egyptian Lentil Stew

Ingredients
- β1 cup red lentilsrinsed and drained
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β2 medium tomatochopped
- β2 tbsp creamyoptional
- β1 tsp egyptian seasoningor to taste
- β2 tbsp olive oilfor frying

Instructions

Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.

Add onion and garlic, fry until softened.

Add lentils, tomato, and seasoning. Stir well.

Add 4 cups of water and bring to a boil.
