Moroccan Tofu Tagine
A flavorful and aromatic North African stew made with tofu, creamy sauce, and moroccan spices. Perfect for a cozy dinner.
Ingredients
- β1 (14 oz) block Extra-firm tofuCubed
- β2 tsp Moroccan tagine spice blend
- β2 tbsp Olive oil
- β1 medium OnionChopped
- β3 cloves GarlicMinced
- β1 can (14 oz) Canned diced tomatoes
- β1/2 cup CreamHeavy or half-and-half
- β1/4 cup Fresh parsleyChopped

Heat the oil in a large tagine or Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the cubed tofu and cook until lightly browned, about 5 minutes.

Stir in the tagine spice blend and cook for 1 minute.

Add the diced tomatoes, cream, and parsley. Stir to combine.

Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low and cook, covered, for 20-25 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and the tofu is coated.
