Saudi Almond Soup
A creamy and savory soup originating from Saudi cuisine, made with almonds and a touch of saltiness.
Ingredients

- β2 tablespoons Salty Butterunsalted
- β1 medium Onion
- β2 cloves Garlicminced
- β2 tablespoons All-Purpose Flour
- β4 cups Chicken Brothlow-sodium
- β1 cup Heavy Creamoptional
- βto taste Salt

In a large saucepan, melt the salty butter over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

Add the almonds and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until lightly toasted.

Sprinkle the flour over the almond mixture and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Gradually add the chicken broth, whisking continuously to avoid lumps.
