Tunisian Tagine Chicken
A rich and flavorful North African stew made with chicken, vegetables, and aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 pounds Chicken breast
- β2 tablespoons Olive oil
- β1 bunch Grassy parsley
- β1 large Onion
- β3 cloves Garlic
- β1 teaspoon Dish salt
- β2 teaspoons Tunisian tagine spice mix
- β2 cups Chicken broth
- β1/4 cup Creamy yogurt

Season the chicken breast with salt and set aside.

Heat the olive oil in a large clay or ceramic pot over medium-high heat.

Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the garlic and cook for another minute.

Add the chicken and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.

Add the tagine spice mix and stir to combine.

Add the chicken broth and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.

Stir in the creamy yogurt and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
