Norwegian Pork Casserole
A hearty, comforting casserole filled with Norwegian inspiration. Perfect for a chilly evening dinner.
Ingredients
- ●1.5 lbs Pork shoulderCut into 1-inch cubes
- ●1 packet Creamy sauce mixFollow package instructions
- ●1 cup Bread crumbsPanko-style
- ●1 cup, shredded Mozzarella cheese
- ●1 tsp Norwegian casserole seasoningAvailable at Scandinavian markets
- ●2 tbsp Olive oilFor greasing the casserole dish

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the pork cubes and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

Remove the pork from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the creamy sauce mix and follow the package instructions to prepare the sauce.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pork, creamy sauce, mozzarella cheese, and Norwegian casserole seasoning.

In a greased 9x13-inch casserole dish, arrange half of the bread crumbs in the bottom.

Add the pork and sauce mixture on top of the bread crumbs.

Sprinkle the remaining bread crumbs over the top of the casserole.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the casserole is golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
