Creamy Monterey Jack Gratin
A rich and creamy gratin dish made with Monterey Jack cheese, perfect for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
- β1 cup, shredded Monterey Jack cheesedivided
- β1 baguette, sliced French breadday-old
- β2 tablespoons Butterunsalted
- β1/2 cup, softened Creamy cheesesuch as Brie or Camembert
- β1/4 cup, grated Zesty cheesesuch as Parmesan or Romano
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper
- βoptional Fresh herbssuch as parsley or chives

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Butter the bottom and sides of a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Arrange 4-6 slices of French bread in the bottom of the dish.

Sprinkle 1/2 cup of Monterey Jack cheese over the bread.

Dot the top of the cheese with creamy cheese.

Repeat the layers, ending with a layer of cheese on top.

Sprinkle zesty cheese over the top of the gratin.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.

Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes.
