Mexican Crispy Chicken Drumsticks
Crispy fried chicken drumsticks smothered in a spicy Mexican sauce, inspired by traditional dishes.
Ingredients
- β1 pound chicken drumsticks4-6 drumsticks
- β1 cup all-purpose flourfor dusting
- β1/2 cup french bread crumbsfor coating
- β2 eggsfor egg wash
- β1 cup milkfor egg wash
- β1 cup vegetable oilfor frying
- β1 teaspoon fajita seasoningfor seasoning
- β1/2 teaspoon hot saucefor seasoning
- β1/4 cup sour creamoptional

1. In a shallow dish, mix together flour, fajita seasoning, and hot sauce.

2. In a separate dish, beat eggs and mix with milk.

3. Dip each drumstick into the flour mixture, then the eggs, and finally coat in french bread crumbs.

4. Heat 1/2 cup of vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat.

5. Fry the coated drumsticks until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.

6. Remove the drumsticks from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

7. In a separate saucepan, heat 1/4 cup of hot sauce over low heat.

8. Add 1/4 cup of sour cream to the hot sauce and stir until smooth.

9. Serve the crispy chicken drumsticks with the spicy sauce for dipping.
