Australian Almond Crusted Gratin
A unique twist on the classic gratin, with a crunchy almond crust. This dish is perfect for a dinner party or special occasion.
Ingredients
- β2 large Australian potatoespeeled and thinly sliced
- β1 cup almondschopped and toasted
- β1 cup gratin cheesegrated
- β2 tablespoons unsalted buttermelted
- β1/2 cup chicken brothwarmed
- β1/4 cup sour creamoptional
- β salt and pepper

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a bowl, mix together the almonds, melted butter, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

In a separate bowl, mix together the potatoes, grated cheese, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

In a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, create a layer of potatoes.

Sprinkle a layer of the almond mixture over the potatoes.

Repeat this process until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of potatoes on top.

Pour the warmed chicken broth over the top layer of potatoes.

Dot the top with sour cream, if using.
