Polish Fried Lentil Fritters
A twist on traditional Polish cuisine, these crispy fried fritters are packed with nutritious lentils.
Ingredients
- β1 cup Lentilscooked
- β1 cup French breadcrumbled
- β1/2 cup Crispy onionschopped
- β1/4 cup Polish sausagecooked and crumbled
- β2 Fried eggschopped
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper
- β1/4 cup Vegetable oilfor frying
- β1 Eggbeaten

1. In a large bowl, combine lentils, crumbled French bread, chopped crispy onions, cooked Polish sausage, and chopped fried eggs.

2. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

3. Add salt and black pepper to taste.

4. In a separate bowl, beat the egg.

5. Add the beaten egg to the bowl with the lentil mixture and mix until a dough forms.

6. Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat.

7. Using a spoon, drop small amounts of the dough into the hot oil.

8. Flatten the dough slightly with a spatula and fry until golden brown.

9. Remove the fritters from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
