Korean Cheese Fries
A spicy and savory twist on classic fries, topped with crispy cheese and a sprinkle of magic.
Ingredients
- β2 large potatoespreferably korean variety
- β1 tsp korean chili flakesgochugaru
- β4 slices crispy bacon bitsoptional
- β1 cup shredded cheesemozzarella or cheddar work well
- β2 tbsp stir-fry oilsuch as peanut or vegetable oil
- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β1/4 cup green onionschopped, for garnish
- β1 tsp toasted sesame seedsoptional
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Cut potatoes into fry shapes and soak in cold water for at least 30 minutes.

Drain potatoes and pat dry with paper towels.

Toss potatoes with 1 tbsp stir-fry oil, salt, and pepper on a baking sheet.

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until crispy, flipping halfway.

In a small pan, heat remaining 1 tbsp stir-fry oil over medium heat.

Add garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.

Add korean chili flakes and cook for an additional minute.

Top baked fries with cheese, crispy bacon bits (if using), and toasted sesame seeds (if using).

Return to oven and bake for an additional 2-3 minutes, until cheese is melted.
