Crispy Chickpea Fritters
A Mediterranean-inspired snack with crispy chickpea fritters made with simple ingredients. Perfect for a quick bite or as a side dish.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 cups chickpeasdrained and rinsed
- β1 cup crispycrispy breadcrumbs
- β1/2 cup mediterraneanmediterranean seasoning
- β1/2 cup flourall-purpose flour
- β1 eggbeaten egg
- βto taste salt
- β1/4 cup wateras needed

Preheat oil in a deep frying pan to 350Β°F (175Β°C).

In a large bowl, mash chickpeas using a fork until they're mostly smooth.

Add crispy breadcrumbs, mediterranean seasoning, flour, and a pinch of salt to the bowl. Mix until well combined.

Add the beaten egg to the bowl and mix until a dough forms.

Using your hands, shape the dough into small patties.

Carefully place the patties in the hot oil and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.

Using a slotted spoon, remove the fritters from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
