Portuguese Pork Skewers
A flavorful and easy-to-make dish from Portugal, perfect for a summer dinner.
Ingredients
- β500g Pork shoulder, cut into 1-inch cubesYou can ask your butcher to cut the pork for you.
- β120ml Portuguese red wine (or substitute with other red wine)This adds depth to the sauce.
- β2 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oilUse a high-quality oil for the best flavor.
- β4 cloves Garlic, mincedYou can adjust the amount to your taste.
- β2 tablespoons Fresh oregano, choppedThis adds a nice herbal flavor.

- β100g Crispy breadcrumbsYou can make your own breadcrumbs by blending bread in a food processor.

Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

In a large bowl, whisk together red wine, olive oil, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper.

Add the pork cubes to the bowl and mix until they're well coated with the marinade.

Thread the pork cubes onto skewers, leaving a small space between each piece.

Season the pork with salt and pepper to taste.

Grill the skewers for 8-10 minutes per side, or until the pork is cooked through.
