Spanish Tofu Fritter Recipe
Crispy and flavorful Spanish-style fritters made with tofu. A delicious and easy-to-make snack or side dish.
Ingredients
- β1 block (14 oz) Tofudrained and crumbled
- β1 cup (120g) cornflakes Crispycrushed
- β1/2 cup (115g) all-purpose flour SpanishSpanish-style flour or regular all-purpose flour
- β1 large egg Eggbeaten
- β1/2 teaspoon Saltto taste
- β1/4 teaspoon Black Pepperto taste
- β1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powderto taste
- β1/4 cup (60ml) Olive Oilfor frying

1. Preheat the oil in a deep frying pan to 350Β°F (180Β°C).

2. In a large bowl, combine the crumbled tofu, crushed cornflakes, flour, egg, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well.

3. Using your hands, shape the mixture into small patties.

4. Fry the patties in batches until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.

5. Remove the fritters from the oil with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
