Malaysian Mini Gorgonzola Croquettes
Delicious bite-sized fried treats filled with creamy gorgonzola and perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- β120g Gorgonzola cheesecrumbly
- β60g Panko breadcrumbs
- β30g All-purpose flour
- β1 Egg
- β20g Minced shallots finely chopped
- β10g Minced fresh cilantro finely chopped
- β15ml Lime juice
- βto taste Salt

1. Preheat the oil in a deep frying pan to 180Β°C.

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the crumbled gorgonzola, breadcrumbs, flour, egg, shallots, and cilantro. Mix well until the mixture is evenly distributed.

3. Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

4. When ready to fry, scoop the mixture into small balls, about 1-inch (2.5 cm) in diameter. You should end up with around 20-25 croquettes.

5. Fry the croquettes in batches until they are golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per batch. Remove the croquettes from the oil with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

6. Serve the croquettes warm, garnished with additional cilantro if desired.
