British Turkey Meatball Bowl
A classic British-inspired dish featuring turkey meatballs served in a bowl with a tangy sauce.
Ingredients
- β250g turkey mince
- β50g crumbly bread
- β1 egg
- β1 bitter onion
- β1 bowl
- βto taste salt
- βto taste pepper
- β50ml milk

Preheat the oven to 200Β°C (400Β°F).

In a large bowl, combine the turkey mince, crumbly bread, egg, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well with your hands until just combined.

Use your hands to shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 1/2 inches (3.8 cm) in diameter.

Place the meatballs on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, leaving a little space between each meatball.

Drizzle the meatballs with a little milk and gently roll them to coat evenly.

Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until cooked through.

While the meatballs are baking, heat a little oil in a pan over medium heat.

Add the diced bitter onion to the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until softened and lightly browned.

Once the meatballs are done, carefully place them in the bowl with the onion and sauce.

Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh herbs if desired.
