Gyro Stuffed Croquettes
A crispy Greek-inspired appetizer filled with spiced ham and feta cheese. Serve with a side of tangy tzatziki sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 cup greek crumbly breadpreferably day-old
- β1/2 cup light feta cheesecrumbled
- β4 slices parma hamfinely chopped
- β1/4 cup gyrofinely chopped
- β1 1 eggbeaten
- βto taste salt

Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Cut the bread into small cubes and place them on a baking sheet.

Bake until lightly toasted, about 5 minutes.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the toasted bread, feta cheese, parma ham, and gyro.

Add the beaten egg and mix until well combined. Season with salt to taste.

Using your hands, shape the mixture into small patties.

Dip each patty in the beaten egg and then coat in breadcrumbs.

Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.

Cook the croquettes until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
