Grilled Hake with Khao Khua Fried Rice
A flavorful and spicy stir-fry dish made with hake, rice, and crunchy vegetables. Serve with a side of grilled hake for a well-rounded meal.
Ingredients
- β450g hake fillets2-3 fillets
- β250g ricepreferably day-old rice
- β2 tbsp vegetable oil
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β1 cup crunchychopped
- β2 tbsp vietnamese chili sauce
- β1 tsp fish sauce
Instructions

Heat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

Season the hake fillets with salt and pepper.

Grill the hake for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

In a separate pan, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent.

Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.

Add the chopped crunchy and cook until slightly browned.

Add the cooked rice to the pan and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.

Add the vietnamese chili sauce and fish sauce to the pan and stir-fry for another minute.
