Jamaican Dark Chocolate Stew
A rich and flavorful stew made with dark chocolate, jamaican spices, and tender beef. Perfect for a cold winter night.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Beef stew meat
- β2 ounces Dark chocolate
- β1 teaspoon Jamaican allspice
- β1 tablespoon Dark brown sugar
- β2 tablespoons Roasted coffee
- β2 pitted dates Dates
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper
- β2 cups Water
- β2 tablespoons All-purpose flour

Season the beef with salt and black pepper.

Heat a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the allspice, brown sugar, and roasted coffee. Cook for 1 minute.

Add the dates and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.

Add the chocolate and stir until melted.

Mix in the flour to thicken the stew.
