Samosas with Spiced Tomato Chutney
Crispy samosas filled with spiced potatoes and peas, served with a tangy tomato chutney. A popular Indian street food.
Ingredients
- β4-6 pieces Samosasstore-bought or homemade
- β2 medium Tomatoesdiced
- β1 medium Onionchopped
- β2-inch piece Gingergrated
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β1/4 cup Tomato pureecanned
- β1 tsp Coriander powderground
- β1 tsp Cumin powderground
- β1/2 tsp Red chili powderground
- βto taste Saltadjust to taste

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle.

Add onion, ginger, and garlic. Saute until the onions are translucent.

Add the diced tomatoes, tomato puree, coriander powder, cumin powder, and red chili powder. Cook for 5 minutes.

Add the chopped cilantro and cook for another minute.

Heat oil in a separate pan over medium heat. Fry the samosas until crispy and golden brown.

Serve the samosas hot with the spiced tomato chutney.

Adjust the seasoning with salt as needed.
