German Apple Pancakes
A traditional German dessert made with crepes, apples, and a hint of cinnamon. Perfect for a cold winter evening.
Ingredients
- β3 Large Eggs
- β1 cup Milk
- β1 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
- β1/2 cup Granulated sugar
- β2 teaspoons Baking powder
- β1/4 teaspoon Salt
- β2 tablespoons Unsalted butter, melted
- β2 Apples, peeled and sliced
- β1/4 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
- β1/4 cup Powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Add the melted butter to the dry ingredients and mix until combined.

Heat a small non-stick pan over medium heat. Pour a small amount of batter into the pan and tilt to coat the bottom.

Cook the crepe for 1-2 minutes, until the bottom is lightly browned. Flip and cook for another minute.

Repeat with the remaining batter, until all the crepes are cooked.

In a separate pan, melt a small amount of butter over medium heat. Add the sliced apples and cook until they are tender and lightly browned.

Add the ground cinnamon to the apples and mix to combine.

To assemble the pancakes, place a cooked crepe on a plate and top with a spoonful of the apple mixture.

Repeat with the remaining crepes and apple mixture.
