Italian Filo Pastry Strata with Calamarata and Delicate Cheese
A layered Italian-inspired dish made with flaky filo pastry, delicate cheese, and pasta. Perfect for a brunch or light lunch.
Ingredients
- β250g Calamarata pasta
- β150g Delicate cheese (e.g., ricotta or cottage cheese)
- β1 package Filo pastrythawed
- β1 tsp Italian seasoningdried herbs
- β1/4 tsp Salt
- β1/4 tsp Black pepper
- β2 tbsp Olive oil

Preheat the oven to 180Β°C (350Β°F).

Cook the Calamarata pasta according to the package instructions until al dente.

In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, delicate cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

Unroll the filo pastry and cut it into 3 equal pieces.

Brush each piece of filo with olive oil and layer them on top of each other in a baking dish.

Pour the pasta mixture over the filo pastry and smooth the top.

Fold the excess filo pastry over the filling to create a neat strata.

Bake the strata in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
