Seared Delicate Fish with Korean-Style Poke Sauce
A delicate fish dish seared to perfection and served with a flavorful Korean-inspired poke sauce.
Ingredients
- β4 delicate fish filletssuch as sole or flounder
- β1/2 cup pork bellysuch as Korean-style bacon
- β2 tablespoons soy saucelower sodium is recommended
- β1 teaspoon korean chili flakessuch as gochugaru
- β1 tablespoon brown sugaroptional
- β2 inches gingergrated
- β1/4 cup green onionschopped, for garnish
- β2 tablespoons sesame oilfor pan-frying
- β1 tablespoon sesame seedsfor garnish

1. Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

2. Season the delicate fish fillets with salt and pepper.

3. Sear the fish for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

4. Meanwhile, combine soy sauce, korean chili flakes, brown sugar, and grated ginger in a bowl.

5. Add the pork belly to the bowl and marinate for at least 15 minutes.

6. After marinating, heat a tablespoon of sesame oil in a pan over medium heat.

7. Add the marinated pork belly and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until crispy.
