Delicate Moroccan Fish Pastilla
A flavorful and moist Moroccan-inspired fish dish wrapped in a delicate pastry, perfect for a special occasion.
Ingredients

- ●1 pound Flaky fishAny mild-flavored fish works well
- ●2 teaspoons Moroccan spice blendMake sure to use a store-bought or homemade blend that includes cumin and coriander
- ●1/4 cup, chopped CilantroOptional garnish
- ●1 medium, finely chopped OnionOptional
- ●2 cloves, minced GarlicOptional
- ●to taste SaltOptional

- ●2 tablespoons ButterOptional

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Roll out the pastry sheet to a thickness of 1/8 inch.

Place the rolled-out pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

In a separate pan, sauté the fish until it's cooked through.

In the same pan, add the Moroccan spice blend, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1-2 minutes.

Transfer the cooked fish to the center of the pastry, leaving a 1-inch border around it.

Spread the Moroccan spice blend mixture evenly over the fish.

Fold the pastry over the fish, pressing the edges to seal.

Brush the pastry with butter and make a few cuts on top to allow steam to escape.

Bake the pastilla for 20-25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
