German Pork Roast
A classic German-style pork roast with a delicate crust, perfect for a special occasion.
Ingredients
- ●1.5 kg Pork loin roastboneless
- ●2 medium Roast potatoespeeled and chopped
- ●4 medium Carrotspeeled and chopped
- ●1 large Onionchopped
- ●6 slices Baconcrumbled
- ●1 cup Beerdark German lager
- ●2 tbsp Brown sugar
- ●1 tsp Salt
- ●1 tsp Black pepper
- ●2 sprigs Fresh thyme

Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).

Season the pork loin with salt, black pepper, and thyme.

Heat a large oven-safe pan over medium-high heat.

Sear the pork loin on all sides until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Transfer the pan to the preheated oven and roast for 20 minutes.

Reduce the oven temperature to 180°C (350°F) and continue roasting for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 63°C (145°F).

While the pork is roasting, cook the bacon in a separate pan until crispy.

Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the chopped carrots and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Add the beer and brown sugar to the pan, stirring to combine.

Simmer the sauce over low heat until the pork is done.
