Traditional Slovakian Dumplings
A hearty and comforting meal of pillowy Slovakian dumplings served in a rich, flavorful Morbiere sauce.
Ingredients
- β2 cups All-purpose flour
- β1 Egg
- β1/2 teaspoon Salt
- β1 cup Milk
- β2 tablespoons Butter
- β1 cup, shredded Morbiere cheese
- β1/4 cup, chopped Fresh parsley
- β1 pound, ground Dumpling meat (optional)
- β- for serving (optional) Delicate onions

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, egg, and salt.

Gradually add milk and mix until a smooth dough forms.

Knead dough for 5 minutes until elastic.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

Cook dumplings for 5-7 minutes or until they float to the surface.

In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.

Add Morbiere cheese and stir until melted and smooth.

Add cooked dumplings to the skillet and toss to coat with cheese sauce.
