Classic British Sunday Pork Roast
A traditional British Sunday roast featuring a deliciously crispy pork roast, served with a side of roasted vegetables.
Ingredients
- ●1.5 kg Pork shoulderChoose a boneless cut
- ●2 tbsp Olive oilFor roasting the pork
- ●1 tsp SaltFor seasoning the pork
- ●1 tsp Black pepperFor seasoning the pork
- ●3 cloves GarlicFor roasting the vegetables
- ●4 medium CarrotsFor roasting
- ●2 large PotatoesFor roasting

Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).

Season the pork shoulder with salt and black pepper.

Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe pan over medium-high heat.

Sear the pork shoulder until browned on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Transfer the pan to the preheated oven and roast the pork for 20 minutes.

Reduce the oven temperature to 180°C (350°F) and continue roasting the pork for another 1.5 hours, or until cooked through.

Toss the carrots, potatoes, and onions with a little bit of olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

Spread the vegetables out in a single layer on a baking sheet and roast in the oven for 30-40 minutes, or until tender.

Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving with the roasted vegetables.
