Chicken and Ukrainian Dumplings
A hearty and comforting Ukrainian dish featuring tender chicken and pillowy dumplings.
Ingredients
- ●1 1/2 pounds chicken breastsboneless, skinless
- ●2 cups all-purpose flourfor dumpling dough
- ●1 cup warm waterfor dumpling dough
- ●1 teaspoon salt
- ●1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- ●1 cup sour creamfor dumpling filling
- ●1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
- ●2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt.

Add warm water and mix until dough forms.

Knead dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Divide dough into 8-10 equal pieces.

Roll out each piece into a thin circle.

Place 1-2 tablespoons of sour cream mixture in the center of each circle.

Add a sprinkle of grated cheese and chopped dill on top.

Fold dough over filling to form a half-circle and press edges to seal.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

Gently add dumplings to boiling water and cook for 10-12 minutes.
