Egyptian Lamb Casserole
A flavorful and aromatic casserole featuring lamb as the main ingredient, inspired by Egyptian cuisine.
Ingredients
- β1.5 pounds Lamb shoulderCut into 1-inch pieces
- β1 medium Onion
- β3 cloves GarlicMinced
- β2 tablespoons Tangy tomato paste
- β1 teaspoon Deliciously spiced cumin
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper
- β2 tablespoons Olive oil
- β1 teaspoon Crushed allspice
- βchopped (optional) Fresh parsley

Preheat the oven to 300Β°F (150Β°C).

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the lamb and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add the onion, garlic, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Add the tomato paste and stir to combine. Cook for 1 minute.

Transfer the mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Mix in the crushed allspice and chopped parsley (if using).

Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
