Curry Banana Tempura

Ingredients

- β1 tsp curry powderJapanese mild curry
- β1 cup all-purpose flourfor batter
- β1 cup vegetable oilfor frying
- β1/2 cup granulated sugarfor dusting
- β2 eggsfor egg wash
- β1 cup milkfor egg wash
- β1 tsp sake (Japanese rice wine)optional, for flavor

Peel the bananas and cut them into bite-sized pieces.

In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, curry powder, and a pinch of salt.

In a separate dish, whisk together the eggs and milk.

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan to 350Β°F (175Β°C).

Dip each banana piece into the egg wash, then coat in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
