Biscuit Clay Dumplings
A unique twist on traditional Chinese dumplings using biscuit dough and a Kenyan-inspired filling. The dense texture of the biscuit pairs well with the savory flavors of the filling.
Ingredients
- β1 package biscuit doughhomemade or store-bought
- β1/2 cup Kenyan peanut saucestore-bought or homemade
- β1 cup shredded cabbageoptional
- β2 tablespoons grated gingeroptional
- βto taste saltoptional
- βas needed waterfor mixing biscuit dough
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Roll out the biscuit dough to a thickness of about 1/4 inch.

Cut out circles of dough using a cookie cutter or the rim of a glass.

Place a tablespoon of Kenyan peanut sauce in the center of each dough circle.

Add shredded cabbage and grated ginger on top of the peanut sauce, if using.

Fold the dough over the filling to form a half-moon shape, pressing the edges together to seal.

Place the dumplings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving about 1 inch of space between each dumpling.

Brush the tops of the dumplings with a little water and sprinkle with salt, if using.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the dumplings are golden brown.
