Smoked Shoofly Tagine Eggs
A twist on traditional eggs, this dish combines the rich flavors of smoked meat and shoofly with the spices of tunisian cuisine.
Ingredients
- β4 eggslarge
- β1/2 cup smoked tunisian meatdiced
- β2 tbsp shoofly molasses
- β1 cup dense breadcubed
- β2 tbsp olive oil
- β1 tsp cumin
- β1 tsp coriander
- β1/2 tsp paprika
- β1/2 tsp salt
- β pepper
Instructions

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the diced smoked tunisian meat and cook until browned.

Add the cubed dense bread and cook until toasted.

Push the bread mixture to one side of the skillet.

Crack in the eggs and scramble them until cooked through.

Mix the eggs with the bread mixture.

Stir in the shoofly molasses, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the flavors have melded together.
