Smoky Okonomiyaki
A twist on the classic Japanese dish, this smoky okonomiyaki combines savory flavors with a crispy texture.
Ingredients
- β1 package dried okonomiyaki mix
- β8 oz smoked salmonCanned or fresh
- β1 head shredded lettuce
- β2 tbsp mayonnaise
- β2 tbsp sauce (such as okonomiyaki or tonkatsu)
- β1/4 cup sliced green onions
- β1 tbsp sesame seeds
- β2 tbsp vegetable oil

In a large bowl, whisk together the okonomiyaki mix and 1/2 cup of water until smooth.

Add the diced smoked salmon and shredded lettuce to the bowl and stir until combined.

Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium-high heat.

Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the pan and swirl to coat.

Using a 1/4 cup measuring cup, scoop the okonomiyaki mixture into the pan and spread evenly.

Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the bottom is golden brown.

Flip the okonomiyaki and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes or until the other side is golden brown.

Serve hot with mayonnaise, sauce, sliced green onions, and sesame seeds.
